How to get advocacy

  • Who can access our advocacy?
  • People with a learning disability care managed by Devon County council or Torbay Care Trust, or long term residents with a learning disability living in these areas who are not care managed.
  • People who have a communication difficulty living in Torbay, South Hams, Teignbridge and West Devon.
  • People with a learning disability living in Torbay, South Hams, Teignbridge and West Devon. and funded from other areas


  • Is there a cost for advocacy?
  • Vocal receives funding from Devon County Council and Torbay Care Trust to deliver advocacy to specific groups of people.
  • We can provide advocacy to individuals we are not funded for and a fee is agreed with the provider or funding authority.
