Vocal Supporters Network
Launching our NEW Supporters Network - Vocal needs you!
Will you join us and become part of our Supporters’ Network?
In many aspects of their daily lives, (including accessing work, money, relationships, health and social care) people with a learning disability remain one of the most disadvantaged, marginalised and discriminated against groups in society. This has only been confirmed and highlighted during the Covid pandemic.
Vocal’s mission is to address this disadvantage, to give people with a learning disability a voice and to enable them to have as much choice and control over their lives as possible while also promoting their rights, and independence.
People Vocal have supported said the following about the benefits of advocacy:
- “My advocate helped me say what I wanted and what was important to me.”
- “Advocacy has helped me a lot, it got my voice heard.”
- “Advocacy has broken down barriers for me.”
- “Having an advocate has boosted my confidence and helped me speak up.”
To keep this work going Vocal needs to increase its regular income and fundraising.
…. therefore, we are launching our new Supporters’ Network….
The Supporters’ Network:
- Is open to anyone who makes an annual donation to Vocal, by standing order
- Enables Vocal to claim gift aid increasing the donation by 25%
- We are suggesting a donation of between £10- £25 (but it is entirely your choice)
- Gives you the opportunity to keep in touch with what Vocal is doing, through signing up for our newsletter
- As a regular supporter you are welcome to attend our AGM and any other open meetings.
If you would like to sign up please download the attached form and return to us in the office
